# 2021 Bullfrog Spas (all series) Owner's Manual Quick Guide
## This guide provides a simplified overview of the most important information from the 2021 Bullfrog Spas Owner's Manual. It covers startup, operation, water care, maintenance, troubleshooting, and warranty information in an easy-to-reference format for Bullfrog Spa owners.

Important Safety Reminders
To help ensure safe spa operation:
- Always supervise children around the spa.
- Keep the cover secured and locked when the spa is not in use.
- Never allow electrical appliances within 5 feet (1.5 m) of the spa.
- Test your GFCI or RCD before each use.
- Never operate the spa without filters installed.
- Maintain proper water chemistry.
- Do not use the spa if water temperature exceeds 104°F (40°C).
- Avoid alcohol or drug use before or during soaking.
- Do not dive or jump into the spa.
- Do not operate the spa during severe weather conditions.
Filling Your Spa
Proper filling helps prevent air locks and startup issues.
### M Series
1. Lift the headrest and SnapCap assembly to access the opening behind any JetPak.
2. Place a garden hose into the opening behind the JetPak.
3. Fill to the water level indicator or midpoint of the filter intake grate.
4. Inspect for leaks before turning power on.
### A Series, R Series, X Series, and STIL
1. Remove the filter cover.
2. Remove a filter cage cap.
3. Place a garden hose inside the filter cage chamber.
4. Fill to the water level indicator on the filter assembly.
5. Reinstall filter components.
6. Inspect for leaks before powering the spa.
### Important Filling Tips
- Never power the spa while empty.
- Never fill with softened water unless a mineral supplement is added immediately.
- Fill through the designated plumbing path to reduce the chance of air locks.
- Install and lock the cover after filling.
First Startup
After filling:
1. Restore power at the breaker.
2. Allow the control system to complete initialization.
3. Prime each pump by activating it and confirming water flow.

### Super Energy Savings Mode

- Heats primarily during filtration cycles.
- Maximizes energy efficiency.
### Weekender Mode

- Lowers temperature throughout the work week.
- Maintains set temperature on weekends.
### Away Mode

3–6 ppm

FROG® @ease® Water Care System
Many 2021 Bullfrog Spas are designed to work with the FROG @ease SmartChlor system.

- Maintains low sanitizer levels automatically.

- Uses mineral and SmartChlor cartridges working together.
### Cartridge Replacement Guidelines
- SmartChlor cartridges typically last 3–4 weeks.
- Mineral cartridges should be replaced every 4 months.

Filter Maintenance

JetPak® Care
